Four more people arrested over Sneinton shooting as raids continue

Four more arrests have been made by detectives investigating a shooting in Sneinton at the weekend as raids .

A 25-year-old man was shot in the leg and back Colwick Road at around 8.40pm on Saturday. He remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Three men and one woman were arrested on Tuesday evening after a raid in St Ann’s.

One of the men, 21, was detained on suspicion of attempted murder. The 30-year-old woman and two other men aged 20 and 31 were arrested on suspicion of possessing firearms.

Monday’s operation took the total number of arrests in the investigation to 10 overall.

Detectives have been given more time to question two other men, both aged 28, who were arrested on Monday about the incident.

A 24-year-old man also arrested on Monday has been bailed pending further enquiries, while A 22-year-old man and a 31-year-old man, arrested on Saturday and Sunday respectively, remain on bail.

A Notts Police spokesman said: “Further searches and warrants are being carried out across the city throughout the day.”
