Police are investigating an attack on a taxi driver in a Nottinghamshire supermarket car park.
Notts Police said officers were called to the Aldi car park, in Urban Road, Kirkby-and-Ashfield, at around 8.40pm on Sunday (July 2) after a taxi driver reported being robbed.
Officers said the man was approached by three youths pretending to be customers who then assaulted him by punching him in the face and they demanded money.
A spokesman said: “He then escaped and saw the offenders search his vehicle before getting away with cash and a mobile phone.
“They then left the area via a disused dirt track. We don’t have much of a description but the offenders are said to be four white males, aged around 15-16 years and wearing casual clothing.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Notts Police on 101, quoting incident 863 of July 2.
