Video: Manager Philippe Montanier on being satisfied with his squad
Nottingham Forest manager Philippe Montanier wants leaders to steer the Reds to a promotion push this season.
Forest have made seven signings heading into the start of the new season and have their sights set firmly on the Premier League after finishing 16th last season.
Forest start their Sky Bet Championship campaign on Saturday (August 5) against Burton Albion at the City Ground.
Montanier has outlined the need for the entire squad to perform but is satisfied with his team heading into the new season.
It’s good that we start with the first match at home
He said: “I need leaders in my squad; not only one but several who will be out on the pitch to help the team and have a good relationship with me.
“I have those players which is important for the season.
“I’m satisfied with the squad I’ve got at the moment but after three or four matches I will decide for sure if I like the squad as is or need different qualities.”
