Nottinghamshire detectives investigating a shooting in Radford believe a suspect ‘fled the scene on a pedal cycle’.

The incident was initially reported to have happened on Ronald Street but, following enquiries, is now believed to have taken place on Argyle Street in Radford at around 2pm on Sunday (June 17).

The pedal cyclist, a black man thought to be in his early 20s, rode off towards Independent Street where he dumped the bike and ran off.

The victim, a 34-year-old man, was taken to hospital but his injuries were not life threatening.

He remains in a stable condition.

Enquiries are continuing and additional uniformed officers will be patrolling the area to provide reassurance and neighbourhood officers will be engaging with partners and community members.

Officers want to hear from anyone who saw the incident or the man on the pedal cycle before or after the incident.

You are asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 442 of June 17.
