Nottinghamshire cricket hero Stuart Broad has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
Broad, 29, is one of 15 Notts people to be commended as part of celebrations for Her Majesty’s 90th birthday.
Also on the list is Patrick Carragher from Sherwood, who has also been given an MBE for his work campaigning for fair conditions for miners.

He spent 20 years as General Secretary of the British Association for Colliery Management.
Andrew Burns, executive principal at the Redhill Academy Trust, has been given an OBE (Order of the British Empire).
And there are two awards for Notts Police officers. Deputy Chief Constable Sue Fish has been awarded the Queen’s Police Medal (QPM) for distinguished service and Inspector Gurmit Kaur will receive an MBE for her services to policing.
Professor Christine Ennew, chief executive officer at the University of Nottingham in Malaysia, gets the OBE for services to Higher Education and British-Malaysian relations.
