Update: Man charged over Nottingham beach stabbing

A 30-year-old man has been charged following an assault in Old Market Square on Sunday.

Jamie Swann, of Watcombe Circus, Carrington, is due to appear before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court, charged with GBH and possession of an offensive weapon.

The incident in question occurred at around 1:45pm on Sunday 2nd August, in which a man sustained stab wounds next to the Dumbo ride at Nottingham Riviera.

The injured man who suffered wounds to his head and hand has since been released from Queen’s Medical Centre.
