A woman has died after being hit by a train near a level crossing in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
The woman has been identified as a 30 year old woman who lives locally; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family have been informed and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
British Transport Police were called to Grives Lane Level Crossing near Grives Farm at 7.12pm on Sunday (October 30).
The incident affected train services on the Robin Hood Line with replacement bus services being used while the line was closed.
All trains are running normally today.
