Roadworks mean there are likely to be severe delays at two key Nottinghamshire junctions this week.
Improvements to the M1 to turn it into a ‘smart motorway’ with extra rush-hour lanes will affect junction 28 near Kirkby in Ashfield from Monday.
Slip roads in both directions will be closed and motorists are being warned to expect delays and diversions.
Elsehwere, the A60 Loughborough Road in West Bridgford will be closed northbound near Wilford Lane from Saturday, which is expected to cause long queues at rush-hour.
