Eleven year-old boy knocked down by two cars in Hucknall

Police are appealing for information after an 11-year-old boy was hit by two cars in Hucknall.

The incident happened at around 7pm on October 20 at the junction of Nabbs Lane and Godber Road – which is near to residential areas and a children’s park.

The boy was rushed to Queens Medical Centre and treated for life threatening injuries, and remained in hospital as of Wednesday morning.

He was first struck by an Iveco van and then a second vehicle, an Audi A4, also knocked the boy down.

In response to the accident, a petition was set up by locals demanding that a zebra crossing should be built on the road.  The petition has gained nearly 500 signatures.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information by calling 101 and quoting incident 770.
