The A46 northbound south of Bingham is currently closed and is likely to remain closed for some time following a serious road traffic collision.
The RTC involved two vehicles, a HGV and a van. It happened at around 11.40am this morning on the A46 northbound at Cotgrave between the junctions for Stragglethorpe and Owthorpe.
The air ambulance was called to the scene and a man, the driver of the van, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for any witnesses and are asking anyone with any information to contact them on 101.
