Nottinghamshire Police has confirmed that a body of a man found in the River Trent on April 15 is that of 86-year-old John Lord.
Mr Lord went missing from his home in Alexandra Park, by St Ann’s, in the early hours of the morning on April 6.
It is believed he drove to the Riverbank pub in Victoria Embankment, leaving his car nearby.
His body was recovered by Nottinghamshire Police’s Underwater Search Unit at round 11am on April 15.
Police have expressed their thanks to everyone who assisted in the search for Mr Lord.
Mr Lord’s family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.
