Boy, 15, in stable condition after Mansfield crash

A 15-year-old boy is still in hospital after being hit by a car in Mansfield on Saturday night.

The incident on Sherwood Hall Road led to a 31-year-old man being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Police said on Monday the boy is still at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham, where he is recovering from serious but not life-threatening injuries. His condition is currently stable.

The 31-year-old man has also now been released on bail pending further enquiries.

It follows the collision on Sherwood Hall Road at around 9.40pm on Saturday.
