Broken down campervan causing lengthy M1 delays through Notts

A broken down campervan is causing lengthy delays on the southbound carriageway of the M1 through Nottinghamshire.

The hard shoulder and one lane is closed between junctions 25 and 24a because of the campervan.

Highways England expect the incident to be cleared by 3.30pm this afternoon (Friday August 18).

Tailbacks are reported up to junction 26 with delays of up to 40 minutes against expected traffic flow.

Normal traffic is expected to resume shortly after the incident is cleared.

The northbound side is not affected by the incidents.
