Broxtowe MP Anna Soubry set for first cabinet meeting

Anna Soubry is attending her first cabinet meeting after being appointed a minister by party leader David Cameron.

Soubry retained her seat for the Conservatives in Broxtowe, while also increasing her majority on the seat by 4,287 votes.

She now makes her first appearance in the party’s cabinet line-up as the new Minister of State for Small Business.

The first all-Tory cabinet for 18 years are set to meet on Tuesday to discuss their next five years in power.

The party celebrated a 12-seat majority in House of Commons in the election, claiming 331 seats.
