A huge fire on a Nottinghamshire industrial estate has sent a tower of smoke across the north of the county.
Notts Fire and Rescue said they were called to an address on Sandy Lane, Worksop, at 2.44pm on Tuesday (July 18), where 500 tons of plastic is ablaze.
A service spokesman said eight fire engines are at the scene, along with three specialist vehicles and one command unit. Crews from Derbyshire and Yorkshire are also part of the operation.
It is not yet clear if anyone has been seriously hurt, they added.
The nearby A60 has been closed in both directions during the incident. There are reports of traffic queues and congestion around the A57/High Grounds Road.
Around 40 firefighters are at the scene putting out the blaze as well as four officers.
