Andy Reid says Nottingham Forest will take the positives from their late defeat at home to Brighton into this weekend’s game against Rotherham.

Forest sit 20th in the league table and with four defeats on the bounce, the reds are looking to a get a win to almost guarantee their Championship safety.

We are moving in the right direction

Reid said: “There’s a lot of positives to take out of the game (Brighton) and hopefully we will bring them into the game on Saturday.

“We are moving in the right direction. It’s been getting better and better each week. Some of the football we played in the second half (Brighton) was some of the best we played all season.”

A win at the weekend will also give Forests end of season hopes a boost – and could spark a run of results in the final few games.

Front man Dexter Blackstock also thinks it’s important to end the season on a high.

“It’s important for the confidence going into the next season. It spills over,” he said.

“You play for yourself and the team regardless of who the manager’s going to be. That’s the most important thing. The seasons not over yet, that’s for sure.”

The Reds kick off at the New York Stadium at 3pm on Saturday.
