Four arrested in connection with Ranby Prison death

Four prisoners have been arrested after a 37-year-old prisoner died following an assault at a Nottinghamshire prison.
The dead man has now been named as Thomas Axton, from Bracknell, Berkshire. He was the victim of an attack which took place inside HMP Ranby in Retford, Nottinghamshire.
Mr Axton, who was a serving a four-year sentence for arson at HMP Ranby, died the next day in Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield.
According to the post-mortem examination the cause of death was a trauma injury to the head.
Of the four arrested, two have been granted bail, pending further enquiries while the other two are still being questioned.
