In pictures: Hundreds attend vigil for Paris victims

Around 200 people gathered at the Brian Clough statue to pay their respects to those killed in Friday’s terror attacks in Paris and send a message of defiance to terrorists.

Monday night’s vigil saw some people light candles and others unfurl French tricolores and peace flags.

The dome of the Council House was also lit up red, white and blue in solidarity with the victims.

See our photo gallery of the event.
