Labour’s Alan Meale holds Mansfield on a reduced majority

Sir Alan Meale has held his Mansfield seat with 39.4% of the vote followed by the Conservatives and UKIP.
However he saw his majority reduce on a disappointing night for the party nationally.
The Liberal Democrat candidate Tony Rogers was in fourth place behind UKIP reflecting a similar story in the rest of the East Midlands.
