Man charged with GBH after crash which put pedestrian in hospital

A man has been charged by police after a pedestrian was hit by a car in Nottingham city centre.

Luke Reilly, 24, of Dale Road, Carlton, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent to cause serious harm.

He was arrested after a man in his thirties was struck by a car on Saturday morning at the junction of Huntingdon Street and Alfred Street North in Nottingham.

The man was taken to QMC with serious but non-life threatening injuries. He has since been released from hospital.

A 25-year old man also arrested in connection with this incident, which happened around 7.25am, has been released without charge.
