Nottingham Oktoberfest organiser says fox stole his lederhosen

Fox Wanted Poster
The German organiser of Nottingham Oktoberfest lost his lederhosen while setting up the event – and believes it was stolen from his tent by a local fox.
The festival made its city debut at the Forest Recreation ground last year and is back for 2016, running from Wed 26 – Sun 30 October.
Last year Carsten Raun told Notts TV News a pair of the traditional trousers had gone missing from his tent close to the site – and he thought a foxy criminal was the likely suspect.
He told bemused presenter Richard Spurr he would “remember Nottingham forever” because of the story.

The Oktoberfest tradition started in Munich 200 years ago. It is a celebration of the gathering of harvest, and attracts millions of people to Germany every Autumn.
The idea has since been exported to cities across the continent.
