McClure, originally from Wollaton, has appeared in Line of Duty, Redemption and Broachchurch but is most famous for playing Lol in This is England.
She said: “I was absolutely shocked to bits when they offered this to me, it feels incredible and I’m so honoured because of all the people I’m surrounded by, all the great Nottingham faces, it’s incredible to be a part of.
“I will continue to fly the Nottingham flag for the rest of my life. I’m continually surprised by what we bring from the city.”
