Following an online voting system, the majority of students voted against the sale of The Sun newspaper in the Students Union Shop.
Critics said that the images of topless models in The Sun’s Page 3, is demeaning towards women.
The University of Nottingham was the first to ban the sale of The Sun newspaper, now Nottingham Trent University have followed suit.
