Army and RAF Cadets in Nottingham have gone head-to-head in a day of competitions for the first time.
The event, called Cadet 15, was organised by Officer Dan Haywood from the Air Training Corps (ATC) and was held at Chetwynd Barracks in Chilwell.
Challenges included a first aid response scenario, a timed obstacle course and the use of an electronic shooting range.

One of the participants, Cadet Flight Sgt Jade Cox believes the event can help job prospects in the future.
“It gives so many new experiences that I can bring to the table,” she said.
“This is something that is unique and I think that this is something that anyone can get involved with and should definitely do.”
For Squadron Leader Julie Rayson-Flynn, it was important to keep a balance in the activities so both sides had a fair chance of winning.
“Both organisations work with first aid, work with leadership training, an element of shooting so we were trying to bring together a level playing field for both organisations to compete.”
