Notts teenagers raise money for victims of Paris terror attacks

Paris, terror, nottingham, silence

Nottinghamshire teenagers are raising money for victims of the Paris attacks with live performances at the Palace Theatre in Mansfield.

A group of young people called Unity are working with Nottinghamshire County Council to host live performances called ‘Showcase 2016’.

Andy Dawson, who manages the Nottingham County Arts and Youth Arts Team said: “The kids were planning their performances as the events of the Paris attacks unfolded, which inspired them to write about it.”

The money raised from tickets and donations are being collected throughout the week for the charity Unicef to support victims of the attacks and other incidents.

Andy said:”The young people decided themselves that this is what they want to do, last night there was 40 performers who joined together at the end of the night to sing together, it was a really good turn out.”
