Police appealing for witnesses after teenager was glassed

Officers investigating an assault in the city centre are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year old man was glassed in Foxy’s Bar.

The 18-year-old was with his family on a night out at Foxy’s Bar on Upper Parliament Street on 8 August when he was approached by a white woman with blonde hair on the dance floor, who hit the teen in the face with a glass.

The incident took place around 1am. The glass smashed and caused nasty facial injuries including cuts around the eyes which required medical attention.

It is believed the attack was unprovoked.

Officers are now trying to trace two people – a man and a woman (pictured) – who are sought in connection with the incident.

DC David Beach said: “This was a particularly nasty incident and the outcome could have been much worse. The victim has a young family and has been left devastated by the attack.”

“We would urge anyone who saw this incident or has any information which could help to get in touch.”

Anyone who recognises those pictured or has information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101.
