Tom Crawford: Police block off road as supporters arrive in force

Nottinghamshire Police have blocked off the road towards Tom Crawford’s house after bailiffs entered his home in Carlton.

Nobody apart from the residents were allowed into the street. Tom said he was urgently trying to get back into his house to see his ill dog.

Supporters have gathered near the property to show their dedication to Mr Crawford who has had a long legal battle over his property with mortgage lenders Bradford and Bingley, who claim he owes them over £43,000.

Mr Crawford told Notts TV he was not sure where he and his wife will be sleeping tonight.

The 64-year-old cancer patient, made the headlines last year after hundreds of supporters showed up at his home on two occasions to stop him from being evicted.

Mr Crawford was refused permission to appeal against a possession order on his bungalow in Fearne Chase by Judge Nigel Godsmark QC at Nottingham County Court in May.
