A record crowd sang through an afternoon of rain at the ninth Splendour Festival at Wollaton Park.
Rockers the Kaiser Chiefs closed the show on Saturday night after memorable performances by Tony Hadley, Busted and Billy Ocean.
Nottingham’s biggest live music event drew around 25,000 people – the majority of whom carried on braving persistent showers to create a sea of bobbing umbrellas on the slopes of the park.

Besides the headliners there were also notable appearances by local acts including Mansfield’s Georgie and Bud, from Beeston.

Gabrielle Aplin also peformed and enchanting set and Tony Hadley turned on the style with a memorable appearance which included David Bowie’s Life on Mars.
