A man is still unaccounted for nearly two days after fire tore through his home in Mansfield.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue service were called to the property in Austin Close at around 1.50am on Wednesday morning.
Crews from Mansfield, Ashfield and Edwinstowe attended the incident – but cannot yet confirm whether anyone was in the home at the time of the blaze and say the occupant is still missing.
Group Manager Richard Melanaphy said: “When fire crews arrived they found a severe fire that has left the house structurally unsound both internally and externally.
“This has resulted in there being several metres of fire debris and we are still currently working and searching the premises.
“At this time we can’t confirm that all persons are accounted for. This is an on-going incident and we are continuing to try and make the building safe. We will therefore continue to take action to search the house until we can confirm that all persons are accounted for.”
