Serious accident closes road near Ravenshead

A woman was injured in an accident which shut a road in West Nottinghamshire.

The crash happened at around 8.20am on Wednesday on the road west of the A60 Larch Farm junction, north of Ravenshead, and involved two cars.

A Ford Fiesta travelling towards the junction and a Subaru heading in the opposite direction were involved in the crash.

A woman travelling in the Fiesta was taken to King’s Mill Hospital by ambulance. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A Notts Police spokesman said the road was closed between Larch Farm and the B6139 Coxmoor Road and was re-opened by Wednesday lunchtime.

Anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact Notts Police on 101.
