Forecasters have extended yellow weather warning for snow and ice across Nottinghamshire into Wednesday lunchtime.
There could be snowfall in some rural areas with a light settling in some urban areas.
Icy stretches on roads and pavements are likely during the warning, which lasts from 12.05am on Wednesday until 11am, having been extended from 10am.
Notts escaped snow overnight but flurries were reported in Lancashire this morning.
There is the potential for travel disruption
A Met Office forecaster said: “We may see some snow over higher grounds with it settling in some places.
“There is the potential for travel disruption through rush hour so please be careful if you venture out during the time of the weather warning.”
This weather warning is issued due to a cold front moving across parts of the UK which will mean colder air with frequent rain, sleet and snow showers.
There is no adverse weather expected for the rest of the week once this warning has passed.
