A recent spate of car vandalism in Stapleford has left residents feeling ‘worried’ and ‘frustrated’.

Over the past few months vandals have been smashing car windows and wing mirrors along a number of streets in the area.

Broxtowe Borough Councillor Richard MacRae said: “I got a call on Saturday (January 13) morning to let me know vehicles had been damaged on the Friday night and then received calls over the weekend as well.

“Stuff has been done Saturday night and Sunday night too – it’s been going on for a month or so.”

Cars were also damaged at dealership Shepherd Motors and owner David Shepherd said it’s some of the worst vandalism he’s seen.

He said: “It’s happened about five or six times now where wing mirrors have been kicked off, windows broken, cars kicked.”
