Team GB canoeists help clear Nottingham Canal of plastic

The Team GB canoeing team were on the water in town today, not to compete, but to help clear the Nottingham Canal of plastic rubbish.

The work was part of the Big Paddle Cleanup scheme, involving around 1,200 paddlers clearing the country’s waterways every year.

Last year, across the UK, more than two thousand bottles, almost one-and-a-half thousand cans and more than three thousand food wrappers were recovered by the scheme. Jordan Guerrero reports.
