Two men believed stabbed in incident on Parliament Street in Nottingham

Police cordon at the scene.

Two men are being treated in hospital for what appear to be knife injuries after an assault in the city centre on Lower Parliament Street.

Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident last night (Wednesday 31 January), in which one of the men were treated by staff at Pryzm nightclub.

Although police put up a cordon outside the venue in the area where the man was treated, Notts TV understands the men were injured elsewhere and the incident is not connected with the club.

The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police said the incident happened in the street, rather than inside the venue.

It is understood one man was given first aid by Pryzm staff before being helped by the Ambulance service.
