Police say the person who died in a crash which closed the M1 in Nottinghamshire on Wednesday was a two-year-old girl.
The crash happened at around 3pm on August 22 on the northbound sude between junction 25 and junction 26.
The girl was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The northbound side of the road was closed and not fully re-opened until 9.30pm. The southbound side was also briefly closed around 5pm.
The young girl, from Yorkshire, was travelling with her family when their car was involved in a crash with a lorry.
Nottinghamshire Police are still appealing for witnesses, or anyone who has any relevant dashcam footage, to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 487 of August 22.
