We’ve found a few great events coming up this week, check them out!

The Nottingham Building Society GB Archery National Finals

Saturday 24 September

10am – 5pm

FREE

On Saturday the grounds at Wollaton Hall will be transformed into a head-to-head archery competition, the event will be run in the same format as the Olympics/Paralympics.
There will be family entertainment, fun, food, music, historical dramas, play areas, the chance to check out Batman’s mansion and, if you are very lucky a chance to chat to Robin Hood.

What more could you want from a family weekend, other than the chance to see some top class archery? It is a free event and everyone is welcome, there will also be the opportunity for visitors to ‘have a go’ at archery.

Outdoor Cinema at the Archbishop’s Palace and Minster

Friday 23 – Saturday 24 September

6pm (Film at 7.30pm)

The Archbishop’s Palace will be showing two evenings of outdoor cinema, on the first night you can go and watch Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame in this great location, and the second evenings film choice will be Dirty Dancing which was down to a public vote .

General Admission is £12 and Concession costing £8 with a refreshment stall available throughout the event. With a lovely view, bring a picnic blanket or camping chairs and enjoy the films on offer.

Law & Order More Beer Festival in Association with CAMRA

Here’s your chance to sample over 30 of the finest local and nationally brewed beers and ciders in one of Nottingham’s most iconic and historical venues – the Galleries of Justice Museum!

Set in the impressive surroundings of the Edwardian Police Station and original courtyard, this unique beer festival will showcase some of the most popular beers and ciders that CAMRA has to offer.


Wild Play Attenborough

Thursday 29 September

10am – 12pm

£6 per child

Bring your little ones down to the Attenborough Nature Reserve where they can play, explore, imagine and create! Your children will get to experience mud play, campfires, woodland crafts, minibeast hunts and more to encourage exploration and confidence. With an exciting new theme each week this is one not to miss – suitable for 2 – 4 year olds.
