2015/2016 Football Championship and League fixtures announced

Fixture lists for Nottingham Forest, Notts County and Mansfield Town have been revealed.

Nottingham Forest and Notts County both start the season away due to the fourth Ashes test at Trent Bridge coinciding with the opening day of the season. while Mansfield start their campaign at Field Mill.

Fans won’t need to wait long for the first derby of the season as recently relegated County host Mansfield at Meadow Lane in just the second game of the season on August 15, it will be the sides first league meeting since 2008.

This game however could be moved due to policing issues as it currently clashes with Forest’s home fixture against Rotherham.

Forest have their own local rivalry to look forward to first hosting Derby at the City Ground on November 7 before travelling to the iPro for the return fixture on March 19 in what are sure to be key games for both sides.

They start the season with an away trip to The Amex to face Brighton before a run of 3 straight home games, including the Capital One Cup tie against Walsall.

A busy Christmas period sees Forest host Leeds on Boxing Day before travelling to Cardiff on December 28 and facing Charlton at the Valley in the first game of 2016.

Forest’s last home game will see Wolverhampton Wanderers visit the City Ground before ending the season with an away match against MK Dons.

Notts County start their campaign on the road against last seasons playoff contenders Stevenage before going away to Huddersfield in the cup.

During the Christmas period the Magpies face a long trip to Hartlepool on Boxing Day but do then have two home games against Morecambe and Oxford to look forward to.

Easter sees a tough trip to the South coast to take on Portsmouth, then a home tie with another one of last years playoff sides Wycombe Wanderers.

County’s last home game of the season sees them take on Cambridge before finishing the campaign on the road against Newport County and Carlisle.

Mansfield start their season at home hosting Carlisle on opening day before they travel to Hillsborough to take on Sheffield Wednesday in the Capital One Cup.

Mansfield’s festive programme sees them travelling to Morecambe on Boxing Day before home games against York City and Accrington Stanley respectively.

Easter weekend has Mansfield taking on Wycombe Wanderers before coming home to face Northampton Town at Field Mill.

The Stags face a tough end to their campaign as they travel away to relegated Leyton Orient before hosting Cambridge United on the final day of the season.
