Christopher Gerald has been jailed for six years for firearms offences.

A man has been jailed for six years after police recovered four guns and ammunition, including two shot guns and a rifle, from a property in St Ann’s.

Christopher Gerald, 21, of Westgate Street, Nottingham, pleaded guilty to the possession of firearms and ammunition and was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court yesterday (April 25).

The court heard that while officers were conducting a warrant at the homeĀ on Jedburgh Walk on September 20 2016 they found two shot guns, a bolt action rifle and an imitation firearm. Gerald was at the address at the time.

Detective Inspector Justine Dakin, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “These four weapons are now off the streets of Nottingham.

“We regularly target those with illegal weapons and we will continue our work to identify, apprehend and bring to justice those who choose to commit gun crime.”
