Fawaz Al-Hasawi reassured Nottingham Forest fans the club is on track to appoint a new chief executive and called for unity after the Reds’ latest defeat.
Al-Hasawi, chairman and owner of the club since 2012, Tweeted about Forest’s recent form following the 2-1 defeat to Reading at the Madejski Stadium last night.
We are on track to appoint a CEO who can help drive this club forward. Good news as the embargo will be lifted in summer #nffc

Forest sacked Dougie Freedman last month, with Paul Williams taking over as head coach until the end of the season, alongside Andy Reid.
Forest have been without a chief executive since February of last year after Paul Faulkner resigned.
Al-Hasawi Tweeted: “Our main goal right now is to stabilize our position in the Championship.
“We are trying our best to appoint the right manager for next season and we appreciate your ongoing support towards the club.
“We are on track to appoint a CEO who can help drive this club forward. Good news as the embargo will be lifted in summer.”
The Football League confirmed in December that Forest would remain under a transfer embargo until the end of the season after breaching Financial Fair Play rules.
Al-Hasawi also moved to reassure fans over the club’s form, with last night’s defeat leaving Forest nine points off the relegation places.
I don’t blame our fans
He added: “A big thank-you to all our supporters once again and I promise to try my best to satisfy the happiness of our great fans.
“I don’t blame our fans for their disappointment and sadness as I would feel the same way if I was in their shoes.”
Forest are next in action at home to Brighton on Monday, April 11.
