A talented busker has been drawing in crowds by serenading passers-by with his piano.
David Keye, 44, who lives close by in the city centre pushes out his open top piano onto Stoney Street in the Lace Market “whenever the sun is out”.
He said: “I try and do it when I can but with the weather in England its tricky because you cant get rain on a piano, but I’ve been playing for two to three hours a day if I can.”
David works as a professional musician and also played at this year’s Nottingham Light Night.
He cries a few tears and says thank you
He said: “People love it, there’s people that live and work in the area who open their windows and come down and say I love it when you play, it’s just really nice.”
David uses busking around Nottingham as a way to meet new people.
He said:”I get a guy that comes regularly and asks me to play a piece by Bach, he cries a few tears, says thank you very much, and puts money in my pot.”
He added: “We live in a world where people are always rushing and on the go, so I like to make people just stop for a moment through my music.”
