Carlton man, Tom Crawford is to appear at Nottingham County court to fight for his home after two failed attempts to evict him by bailiffs.
The 63-year-old Tom Crawford has been caught up in a five-year legal battle with Bradford and Bingley over his mortgage.
It is claimed by the bank that he owes £43,000 in outstanding mortgage repayments. Mr Crawford, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2011 and is now in recovery, says that he does not owe anything.
Protestors have twice stopped bailiffs repossessing Mr Crawford’s bungalow on Fearn Chase, Carlton where he has lived for 25 years.
The first attempted eviction was in July last year when more than 200 people turned up in support of Mr Crawford after becoming aware of his situation when he posted a YouTube video documenting his plight.

Over 500 protestors came to Mr Crawford’s aid in January this year and stopped bailiffs for a second time.
Mr Crawford posted a new YouTube Video announcing his court appearance. In the video, he thanks everyone who has helped him in his fight to save his home and invites them to join him on May 1 at Nottingham County court when his case will be heard.
