Long queues built up around London Road in Nottingham after a crash which happened just after 12.30pm.
The incident blocked the Southbound side of the A60 London Road between the city and Trent Bridge, close to the junction with Cattle Market Road.
Notts Police attended and had cleared the road by around 1pm. Traffic is now flowing normally again.
A force spokesman said: “A BMW and a Volkswagen had collided with each other. At this time, there appears to be no injuries.”
