The takeover of Nottingham Forest looks imminent after chairman Fawaz Al-Hasawi took to Twitter to wish supporters and fans luck for the future.
A takeover at the City Ground has been looming with a consortium lead by American millionaire John Jay Moores reportedly set to buy a majority stake in the club.
The consortium has already secured a period of exclusivity and the Football League has been approached with the potential plans.
The new owner is expected to be the 72-year-old John Moores who previously owned the San Diego Padres in the United States.
Under his control the Padres won the West Division title in 1996, 2005 and 2006 and reached the World Series in 1998.
I wish all the best for Nottingham forest 🌹
