Fire crews from all over Nottinghamshire spent the majority of Friday tackling a blaze at the train station which is being treated by investigators as a suspected arson attack.
The fire began at around 6.30am on Friday (January 12) in a toilet and everyone inside the building escaped unharmed.
The station was closed all day with no trains running to or from the station – a limited service ran on Saturday, all platforms opened on Sunday and services returned to normal today.
A joint investigation between the Notts Fire and Rescue Service’s Investigation Team and British Transport Police continues as they have evidence to believe the fire was started on purpose.
