Nottingham Forest Ladies continue their unbeaten streak

Nottingham Forest Ladies Football Club are on a roll and are continuing their unbeaten run with an away draw of 3-3 against Huddersfield Town.

The team travelled to Huddersfield to take on Huddersfield Town Ladies in their first of four back to back away fixtures to play their third game in seven days.

The scoring was kicked off by Huddersfield’s top goal scorer Emily Heckler after 16 minutes, and it looked as though the team were dominating the game.

Nottingham Forest were however brought back into the game after a great individual effort from Megan Howard who latched onto a ball and delivered a perfect long range effort that flew into the net on 36 minutes.

Forest Manager Sam Winch said: “We have left Huddersfield today with what could be a valuable point come the end of the season.”

“It wasn’t always pretty and certainly not our best, however, I cannot fault the players for their effort and energy.”

Head Coach, Steve Stennett added: “A draw was probably a fair reflection on the game. But for me as the Head Coach it was three points lost – we must start to look for consistency in our away games if we are to maintain our momentum and ensure we stay within touching distance of those teams above us.”
