A mother from Bilborough has demanded answers from a Chilwell McDonald’s after her two-year-old son ate a blue chicken nugget.
Lucy White, 32, took her son George, to the fast food restaurant as part of a family day out. Whilst driving her mother and son home, she had to pull over after they noticed something in the two-year-old’s mouth.
She said: “I was driving out of the retail park when my mum noticed he had a blue mouth, so I had to stop and get the chicken out of his mouth quickly.
I looked into the box and that’s when I saw the other blue chicken nuggets.

The family returned to the restaurant to complain about the food and were offered a free happy meal, the restaurant also assured the family that the blue chicken nuggets would be sent off for testing.
Lucy’s mother Dawn Naylor was worried about her grandson when she saw the blue around his mouth. The family still haven’t received a proper explanation about how the chicken nugget’s turned blue.

After several weeks, Miss White still hadn’t heard anything and went back to see if they had an explanation.
She was forced to contact the restaurants customer services who said they had not received the chicken nuggets and apologized for what had happened.
