Globe trotting Ollie the Owl home

Ollie the Owl has returned on horseback to his residence at the Admiral Rodney in Calverton after five months of globe trotting.

Ollie received a warm welcome home as he was greeted by the cheers and applauses of the crowds of people who were attending the Pub’s annual Kodneystock Festival.

Since his mysterious ‘kidnapping’ six months ago, Ollie has raised £1000 for Lincolnshire and Nottingham Air Ambulance and it can now be revealed that the bird-napper was Hazel Pollard, of Calverton.

After snatching Ollie off a shelf in the Pub, Mrs Pollard began taunting his owners by posting photos of him on holidays on Facebook.

Since then, Ollie has been jet-setting all over the Globe, with more and more people volunteering to take him on his journeys.

Landlady Christy Jamieson can hardly believe the extent of Ollie’s travels.

She said: “He’s been more places than I’ve ever dreamed of being and its quite crazy really. It’s a big thing they have done and they have done it to promote Kodneystock and the Charity also.”

Ollie’s travels have taken him to a whole host of exotic locations including Tunisa, Sydney and Las Vegas.

He has even seen some of the Wonders of the World, including the Great Wall of China and the Taj Mahal- where Ollie was strangely confiscated by security.
