Four men have been jailed after attacking and robbing a Mansfield couple in their own home.
The group broke into the house in Gladstone Street on April 8 believing there was a stash of cash in the house.
But after hitting the couple the men left with only £20, a bank card and a buss pass.
Jason Hole, 22, of Crompton Road, Pleasley, Mark Smith, 37, of Windsor Road, Mansfield, Zack Moult, 22, of Chesterfield Road North, Pleasley, and Gavin Hartshorn, 24, of Sandy Lane, Mansfield, all admitted the robbery.
The men were identified because one of the victims recognised some of them from a previous disagreement.
Det Sgt Ricky Ellis of Notts Police said: “These men subjected their victims to a violent and cowardly robbery, using violence to gain entry to the home and to extract money.
“Their sentences reflect the seriousness of their crime and all four men will have plenty of time in prison to reflect on their actions.”
At Nottingham Crown Court Hole was given eight years and six months in prison, Smith 11 years, Moult seven years and four months and Hartshorn was given eight years.
