Organisers prepare for Nottingham’s biggest music festival, Splendour, as thousands of people are expected to arrive on the Wollaton Hall grounds for a weekend of music.
Splendour has been taking place for eight years and has seen hundreds of famous acts take to the stage over the years.
Around 20,000 people are expect to attend, which means massive preparation is needed to ensure the weekend runs smoothly.
Ali McLean the events organiser, said:Â “This year is shaping up to be one of our best years ever, we’re a 20,000 capacity and we may actually get sold out.”

With the event likely to sell out the organisers are busy doing safety checks and setting up the main stages.
Ali McLean said: “There’s up to two thousand people involved from people who are working the bars, caterers, different entertainment artists, the event management, security, police, there’s a lot of people here.”
This year’s line up will see artists such as Lawson and Nottingham’s very own Indiana taking to the stage and it’s Phil Mulhaine’s job to keep them happy throughout the weekend.
As the artist liaison, Phil said he often gets very strange requests from some of their musicians each year.

The grounds at Wollaton Hall are full of organisers and safety crew putting together the stages and tents which will be surrounded by huge crowds for a weekend of entertainment.
