Viv Anderson has become the latest local hero to have a tram named after him.
The former Nottingham Forest defender received the honour at a special ceremony in Clifton, where he grew up.
Anderson was the first black player to play for England and made more than 300 appearances for Forest between 1974 and 1984.
And the former full-back revealed he was particularly taken aback by the news when first told because he misheard the caller.

He joked: “I got the call about six or seven weeks ago, I thought they said ‘we’re going to name a tramp’ I got it mixed up.
“I’m very honoured, being born and bred in Clifton.”
Other local stars to have trams named after them to date include boxer Carl Froch, cricketer Stuart Broad and celebrity chef Sat Bains.
Anderson, 59, added: “A lot of people have been before me, to have something like this named after me is great.”
City Councillor Jane Urquart presented Anderson with the honour
He was part of both the 1979 and 1980 European Cup-winning sides and went on play for teams including Arsenal and Manchester United before retiring in 1995.
